MINNEAPOLIS, MN – February 16, 2021 – Avtex, a customer experience (CX) consulting and technology company, announced today the hiring of Peter Chalem as Director of Commerce. As the retail landscape continues to evolve, today’s customers expect a consistent and virtually seamless omni-channel experience. As part of their aggressive growth model, Avtex is adding a Retail and Commerce practice to help clients deliver unified and personalized experiences.
Chalem joins Avtex with nearly 25 years of entrepreneurship, leadership, consulting, team building and practice building experience.

Before joining Avtex, Chalem built and led a regional team of over 300 people across 8 countries in Latin America for AlfaPeople. He was instrumental in building AlfaPeople to be the biggest regional Dynamics partner in the region. Most recently, he led the delivery team for Dynamics 365 for DXC North America.
As the Director of Commerce at Avtex, Chalem will be responsible for incubating, growing and leading the Avtex Commerce practice. He will lead the team in expanding Microsoft Dynamics solutions, to include Retail and Commerce, helping customers transform retail by delivering digital, unified, personalized, and seamless shopping experiences. This new practice further positions Avtex as the foremost Microsoft partner, transforming CX across sales, service and marketing.
